When Daddy's away, the girls will play....

Charlotte and I kissed Chris goodbye in the wee hour of 3am Friday morning as he headed off to Yosemite for a fishing trip with his brothers and friend. Charlotte and I had our first Mommy/Daughter trip all on our own! Well, maybe not entirely alone, we had Charlotte's Aunt Kate and Aunt Megan and her cousin Caleb along for the ride (did I mention Caleb is only 5 days younger than Charlotte?!) We had a blast out in Palm Springs! There was lots of swimming, playing, eating, relaxing and napping to be had at her aunts house! Charlotte missed her daddy but boy oh boy did her daddy miss her!! Needless to say it was a joyful reunion this afternoon for the two of them when Chris came home!

I love this picture taken of Charlotte, it really shows off the size of her delicious cheeks!

Half a year already?

Where does the time go? I feel like I write that same line over and over again and say that over and over again but it is so true! I cannot believe that it has been over half a year since our miracle came into our lives! We are so thankful for her! Charlotte has such a spunky personality and keeps us all entertained for hours! We love everything about our sweet Charlotte but here are some of our favorite things about our baby girl:
- She is a professional raspberry blower (she can blow those raspberries like nobodies business!)
- She LOVES Elmo. No, she is obsessed with Elmo! She thinks he is the funniest thing that ever lived!
- She LOVES food, you can give her anything and she will eat it. I am so thankful she is not a picky eater!
- She loves to laugh. Everywhere we go and anything we do she seems to find laughter in it all. Total strangers literally tell us everyday what a happy funny baby she is!
 - She loves the sound of her voice and has two pitches she talks and sings at...a really low grumble and a very high pitch squeal!
- She loves music and dances and wiggles to it all the time!

In a nutshell, she really is the most adorable, sweet, loving, and most beautiful baby girl! We are all smitten with her!

Families are Forever

Today in Relief Society it was all about temple work and being sealed to families forever and I could not help the tears from flowing as I thought about our temple miracle. Yesterday Chris, Charlotte and I had to opportunity to go to our most favorite spot, the San Diego Temple. We had a dear family friend getting married. Charlotte waited outside with all of her aunts and uncles and as Chris and I sat in the sealing room we could not help but feel such a tender ache in our own hearts. No too long ago we were in this temple every Saturday night serving the Lord. Now we are so close to be able to kneel across the alter from each other with Charlotte by our side being sealed to us for time and all eternity. I cannot help but to think what a absolute miracle this child of ours is. I cannot wait for that day to come that we are together as a family in this very spot where it all started. Charlotte is our temple miracle. Families can be together forever, through Heavenly Fathers plan! I am SO thankful for our beautiful blessing!

Happy Five Month Birthday Charlotte!!!

I still cannot believe she is already five months old! Where does the time go?! Soon enough we will be together as a family in the temple being sealed for time and all eternity! Charlotte seems to learn something new every day! Now that she is rolling to her tummy she is getting her knees up underneath her! Before we know it she is going to be crawling!!! I am not sure if I am ready for that! :) She can sit up on her own for a longer period of time every time we sit her up and she LOVES it. We just adore her independent spirit!!!
